Vanessa completed her nursing degree and is an experienced registered nurse, where she went on to specialize in coronary and post-Anaesthetic care. After developing a passion for appearance medicine and completing intensive training Vanessa started her career in the cosmetic industry working within a well known  franchise. She followed this by opening her own business before joining forces with Stacey Power at Beautiphi.

Vanessa brings with her a wealth of knowledge,  experience, and understanding of the modern advanced techniques. Her professional approach and passion for the industry is second to none and her enthusiasm and down to earth personality ensures your experience is one that reflects this. Vanessa has experience in creating individualized treatment plans to optimize aesthetic outcomes.

Anti-wrinkle injections

Anti Wrinkle injections are an effective method to reduce and smooth out any unwanted lines and wrinkles. This treatment leaves you looking and feeling like the fresher more youthful version of yourself, with a radiating glow.

What is Botulinum Toxin?

Botulinum Toxin Type A is a purified protein muscle-relaxant that is administered using a series of tiny injections, and is a non surgical treatment for diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.Once injected Botulinum Toxin sits between the nerve endings and the muscle fibres which inhibits the muscle from contracting as it had previously, resulting in a refreshed overall appearance, giving you a youthful glow.

Treatment

It consists of a few simple injections to the selected areas, with numbing cream applied prior to treatment in order to reduce any discomfort or pain. The smallest and finest needles are used to inject the anti wrinkle treatment, minimizing any redness, bruising or bleeding on the facial skin – these are the only “side effects” of the treatment, as actual side effects are extremely uncommon. Optimal results are noticeable two weeks post treatment. However, most clients will slowly start to notice changes at day four or five post treatment. These results typically last three to four months. ​​

Does it work immediately after one treatment?

Yes but it may take 3-7 days for the effect to occur. The treatment lasts 3-4 months and then needs to be repeated. Over time as the wrinkles lessen, then the amount of Anti-wrinkle product may be reduced or the time between treatments may be extended because the wrinkles have reduced or faded.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers can be used to plump out your lines/wrinkles or to improve facial structures. All of the Dermal Fillers we use are semi permanent and are Hyaluronic Acid based.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal Fillers are made up of Hyaluronic acid. They are a processed version of the naturally occurring Hyaluronic Acid (HA) that is found throughout our tissues and body fluids and is responsible for keeping your skin hydrated. Not only do Dermal Fillers help to hydrate the skin, they also help to replace volume loss and stimulate cell renewal within the skin. Dermal Fillers are metabolised and broken down by your body over time.Therefore, the speed of your metabolism will have an impact as to how long your results last, so will vary from person to person. HA Filler is completely (and instantly reversible). If you are not satisfied with the result, we can dissolve the product and your appearance immediately returns to its pre-treated state. We use only high quality FDA, TGA and Medsafe approved Dermal Fillers.

Where can you get fillers on your face?

• Lips augmentation for a more youthful pout, stop lipstick from seeping beyond the lip line, reduce or remove smokers lines or other perioral lines, hydrate and volumize the lip. We do not believe in creating a ‘trout pout’ or duck face. Lips should be sensual and appealing, not dominating your face!

• Around the eyes to reduce the appearance of tired looking eyes, reduce the black circles on your eyes, address the tired appearance caused by the ageing process.

• Cheek augmentation to recreate the volume of a youthful cheek, reduce the appearance of the ageing process, create stronger defined cheekbones, address volume loss or sagging cheeks.

• Nose to shape or correct mis-shapen noses.

• Temples to hollow temples are a tell-tale sign of ageing and treating this volume loss can produce a subtle but beautiful face-lift type result. Filling the temple area is also a popular treatment for creating balance and symmetry in the face.

Belkyra

What is Belkyra? ​

Belkyra® is a prescription medicine, which non surgically reduces fat under the chin, resulting in a more contoured neck profile and jawline.

When injected into fat under the chin, BELKYRA® permanently causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.

Treatment

Many people experience improvement after 2-4 treatment sessions spaced at least 4 weeks apart. A maximum of 6 treatments may be given. Dr Morunga will carry out a full facial assessment to help determine how many treatment sessions may be needed.

Patient Information

Possible adverse reactions: Headache, nausea, difficulty swallowing, skin tightness, injection site bruising, discolouration. Injection site nerve injury, high blood pressure.

PRP®

​The procedure uses a combination of controlled dermal needling and topically infused PRP to improve skin texture, integrity and radiance.

The entire process takes about an hour. Results take around 2-3 weeks to see and a series of up to 3 treatments is recommended 4 weeks apart. Your skin should still improve with time following your treatment programme.

A small collection of blood 20mls, is taken and processed to give us the PRP required for your treatment. This is done by placing your blood in a centrifuge for 8 minutes separating the plasma and platelets from your red blood cells. 

The concentrated source of autologous platelets within the plasma contain numerous growth factors that stimulate tissue regeneration and remodelling. After application of a topical anaesthetic the PRP is then needled  into your skin, by one of our advanced dermal facial specialist.

Activating 8 Growth Factors ​

Platelet-rich plasma is similar to HA fillers because it can be injected to sculpt the face. But, here’s the best part: not only does the PRP cause an increase in the volume, PRP contains at least 8 growth factors that will over a long period of time, continually work like a rejuvenating agent. By activating these growth factors, all 3 parts of the aging process improve:

• The skin color becomes a “younger” color because of new blood vessel formation.

• New collagen formations in the dermis lifts the face back to a more youthful shape.

• Because the growth factors are working to build a new dermis, the epidermis (the outer most layers of your skin) appears smoother.
